Football heroes show they’re also passionate about reading

Linganore High School football player Zach Zwinak, wearing blue jeans and his Lancers jersey, sat perched in a chair surrounded by New Market Elementary School students.
Huddled on the floor, the members of Cathy Alspaugh’s mixed class of second- and third-graders listened as the local football hero read aloud from “The Lorax,” by Dr. Seuss.
Throughout the school, many of Zwinak’s teammates, other Linganore athletes, firefighters and school system employees were among those reading to students to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss. read more…
