Boy Scouts of America – Pack 1628

What is Scouting?  Scouting is learning by discovery and discovery by doing.  It’s fun, friends, and family.  It’s a place where skills are learned, confidence is built, and stories are born.  Its about learning to work together, serving the community and understanding what it means to be a leader.  That’s The Boy Scouts of America.  It’s a place for  your son unlike any other.  You might call it life-changing.  He’ll just call it fun.

Yellow Curbs on Main Street

Yellow Curb and Traffic Laws

Please remember not to park in or on a yellow curb.  The town over the next couple of weeks will be freshing up the yellow curbs throughout the town.  This effort is to generate a clear line of sight for motorist coming out of alleys, driveways, etc.  Below is the law of what is acceptable for a motorist parking in front of a yellow curb.

Maryland DMV

You cannot park at a yellow curb. You can, however, pull alongside it to load or unload passengers or freight; instead of a park it’s the cars version of a pause.

If you do attempt to park along a yellow curb, you’ll risk getting a parking ticket. This is not considered a moving violation. No points, if applicable to your state, will be assessed to your driving record. You’ll only be hit in the wallet with a fine.
